Japan strengthens import monitoring inspection for isoprocarb in perilla from China
Recently, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare decided to strengthen import monitoring inspection for isoprocarb in perilla and its simply processed products exported from China to Japan. The sampling rate has been raised to 30%.

It is reported that the reason for Japan's decision is that 0.02 ppm of isoprocarb was recently detected in fresh perilla exported to Japan by a company in Jiangsu, China. Because Japan's positive list system only sets a standard of 0.5 ppm for isoprocarb in brown rice, other foods and agricultural products can only apply the uniform standard of 0.01 ppm.

At the same time, Japan has implemented batch-by-batch inspection for perilla exported to Japan by this Jiangsu company, with clearance only after it passes.
