As of November 12, Ukraine's grain harvest has reached 46.63 million tons
According to a report released by Ukraine's Ministry of Agrarian Policy over the weekend, as of November 12, Ukrainian farmers had harvested 46.63 million tons of grain, with the harvested area reaching 15.2 million hectares, accounting for 98% of the total area.
Among this, the corn harvest was 8.88 million tons, with a harvested area of 1.77 million hectares, accounting for 84% of the total area, and an average yield of 5.01 tons per hectare.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy had earlier forecast this year's Ukrainian grain output at 45 million tons, lower than last year's 53.3 million tons.
According to the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation recently, Ukraine's grain output in 2009/10 may reach 47 million tons, including 10 million tons of corn.
