Bag-cultivated wood ear mushroom farming becomes a new favorite for farmers in Jiayin to get rich
Northeast Network Yichun, January 10 - Jiucheng Village, Wuyun Town, Jiayin County changed its development approach. With the help of the county party committee and county government, it built a bag-cultivated wood ear mushroom planting base. In 2010, the farmers here truly tasted the "sweetness" of growing wood ear mushrooms.
Farmer Huang Jiaming is one of the growers at the base. Huang Jiaming delightedly told reporters: "With the support of the county party committee and county government, I am full of confidence in developing bag-cultivated wood ear mushrooms to get rich. In addition, edible fungus experts from the county often provide us with training and guidance, helping us plant scientifically, fertilize reasonably, and select fertilizers. The wood ear mushrooms grown are large, thick-fleshed, and good in taste, which is why I had such a good harvest." The reporter helped Huang Jiaming calculate the accounts. In 2010, he purchased 20,000 bags of bag-cultivated wood ear mushrooms and harvested 1,050 kg of dried wood ear mushrooms. Sold at 13 yuan/kg, plus 2,000 yuan in support funds issued by the government, the total annual income reached 56,600 yuan. After deducting costs, the net income was nearly 30,000 yuan.
The reporter learned from the county agricultural department that in recent years, Jiayin County has actively explored new channels for long-term increases in farmers' income. Relying on its good ecological environment and rich forest, land, and water resource advantages, it has made bag-cultivated black wood ear mushrooms a key project for townships and villages located in shallow mountain areas with relatively little arable land, leading the broad masses of farmers to vigorously develop the black economy based mainly on bag-cultivated black wood ear mushrooms. Through years of policy guidance and continuously strengthened support in technology and funds, the county has achieved leapfrog development of the black wood ear mushroom industry. In 2010, the county planted a total of 42.6 million bags of bag-cultivated wood ear mushrooms, realizing an output value of 76.68 million yuan. Nowadays, bag-cultivated wood ear mushrooms have become one of the important industries for increasing farmers' income in Jiayin County, truly fattening farmers' wallets.
