Be cautious about dog meat farming; fully understand the market risks before entering the industry
People's desire to get rich is understandable, but when choosing a project, you still need to be cautious and not follow blindly.
In recent years, dog meat farming has gradually increased. The reason dog meat has been hyped is that it is a low-fat, high-protein food with a delicious taste and health-promoting effects. Compared with previous years, dog meat was in short supply and priced relatively high. In recent years, with more people farming dogs for meat, dog meat prices have clearly shown a downward trend. Under these circumstances, dog meat farming should be correctly understood from the following aspects.
First, whether the tens of thousands of yuan in profit from dog meat farming claimed by sellers is accurate still requires calm consideration.
Second, the price issue. After large-scale production, prices will decline somewhat, and the profits currently expected will be difficult to achieve.
Third, China's dog meat breeds are not standardized, and there are currently no true dog meat breeds. Since there are no specialized dog breeds for meat use, the meat dog breeds hyped by breed speculators are false and deceptive. Some sellers even pass off local mixed-breed dogs as meat dogs, harming farmers.
Fourth, breeding technology is not yet mature, and technical difficulties in large-scale farming still need to be explored.
Fifth, deep processing of dog meat products still needs to be developed.
Sixth, dog meat sales are greatly affected by season, with strong seasonal consumption, and market demand also differs among different regions.
On the one hand, because the habit of eating dog meat in winter for “heat tonification” is popular in most parts of China, while sales in spring, summer and autumn are small, large quantities of dog meat accumulate, increasing feeding costs. On the other hand, many places do not have the habit of eating dog meat, so consumer demand is limited.
