A Horticultural Therapy Perspective on the Garden Hotel Guangzhou
On July 19, 2017, Sister Rose went to the Garden Hotel to attend the launch ceremony of the fourth phase of the HSBC Community Partnership Programme, and took the opportunity to look around the Garden Hotel as well.

Neatly shaped round plants.
A little trivia:
Landscape plant shaping is a clever combination of plant cultivation techniques and garden art, and also a unique technique of using plants to create gardens.
The circle conveys a sense of perfection; a standard form is simple and unadorned.

On the square floor panel in the middle of the lobby, a group of hydrangeas was arranged.
When she first came in, Sister Rose went up close to take a look, but only after going upstairs and looking down did she realize the designer had a hidden intention.
Here the designer used the square design among the geometric shapes in landscape plant shaping.
A little trivia:
In landscape shaping, the square conveys a sense of uprightness and strength.
The flower language of the hydrangea is: hope, fidelity, eternity, happiness, and reunion.

Within the square-shaped design, a large amount of raw wood was placed, giving people a feeling of entering nature.
A little trivia:
Geometric shaping refers to object models generated from geometric elements such as points, lines, surfaces, and solids through a series of geometric transformations and set operations. Applying mathematical geometric composition elements to landscaping and attaching geometric characteristics to green plants, creating a large green geometric-shaped plant community, will give people a different and intense visual enjoyment: natural, biomimetic, full-shaped, symmetrical, and round and smooth forms can evoke joyful emotions in people.
In the indoor and outdoor plant design of the Garden Hotel, a large number of geometric shapes were used.
The designer's reasonable planning, the creation of the overall environment, and the use of landscaping elements give it the beauty of artistic conception of its setting, so that those within it can feel the healing brought by plants.
