Minimum purchase price for wheat to rise to 102 yuan per 50 kg next year

In order to protect farmers' enthusiasm for growing grain and further promote the development of grain production, the state will continue to implement the minimum purchase price policy in major wheat-producing areas and appropriately raise the minimum purchase price level for 2012.

Upon approval by the State Council, the minimum purchase prices for white wheat (third grade, the same below), red wheat and mixed wheat produced in 2012 will all be raised to 102 yuan per 50 kg, an increase of 7 yuan, 9 yuan and 9 yuan respectively compared with 2011.
