Target the dining table to grow vegetables

"Everyone envies him for his good luck, the god of wealth always follows him." This is people's praise for Pang Liangkun, the "vegetable-growing champion" of Dajiang Village, Lianzhou Town, Hepu County, Guangxi.

Pang Liangkun is a true farmer with more than 20 years of vegetable-growing history. He first became wealthy by growing Yujiecai (potherb mustard) and chili peppers, then later developed snap bean and chive cultivation, and became a contract vegetable purchasing boss, and his business grew ever more prosperous. People often teasingly ask him: "Why are your vegetables so easy to sell, and why do they fetch such high prices?" He always says with a smile: "Customers are my god of wealth. I often wander around the streets, markets, and restaurants, seeing what they like to buy and like to eat, and then I grow whatever that is. I'm not afraid I won't make money."

The "vegetable-growing champion" truly lives up to his name. For more than 10 years, Pang Liangkun has changed his former habit of just burying his head in planting, and instead targets the "dining table," this "barometer" of market sales, extending his attention to the streets and dining tables, conducting scientific analysis and forecasting of the market, and carefully observing what vegetables sell well on the market, what vegetables fetch high prices, and what dishes are most popular with customers at the dining table, and then he grows exactly those. In 2010, he made full use of greenhouse temperature regulation technology to stagger the peak marketing period of Yujiecai. Before the 30 mu of Yujiecai he planted were even ready for harvest, they were all ordered up by out-of-town bosses, and one greenhouse of vegetables earned 150,000 yuan.
