Goat Farming Technical Training Course Held at a Farmhouse Goat Shed

   Recently, a unique "Goat Farming Technical Training Course" was announced to open in the goat shed of Qin Jianli, a large-scale goat farmer in Gaomeng Tun, Mengdou Village, Baima Township, Dahua Yao Autonomous County. The training course was conducted by first observing and interacting on site, and then gathering to listen to farmers share their successful farming techniques. More than 80 village officials, key Party members, and goat farmers from the entire township participated in the training.

    During the training, large-scale farmer Qin Jianli, following the principle of "practical, useful, and effective," passed on to the participants a set of successful goat farming techniques he had explored, accumulated, and summarized over many years. He focused on teaching the selection of breeding ewes, the selection of breeding rams, lamb feeding and management, supplemental feeding for the flock, and disease prevention and control, with particular emphasis on strengthening feeding and care —— feeding goats on schedule, paying attention to disease prevention and control —— with prevention as the priority, and emphasizing the proper construction of goat sheds —— ventilation and light transmission, among other measures; he also patiently answered the difficult questions raised by each goat farmer. The technical instruction lasted two hours. The participants could see it, understand it, and apply it. They not only improved their goat feeding and disease prevention techniques but also strengthened their confidence in developing the goat farming industry.
