How to rescue a wilted peace lily

Peace lily, also known as white sail (Spathiphyllum), is chosen by many households to grow at home, but sometimes you may run into a situation where the peace lily wilts. How do you rescue it then?

1. First, find out whether it is sunburn from too much sunlight. If so, move it to a shady spot for two days, spray a little less water, and it should recover in about one to two days.

2. If you suspect a lack of water, water it thoroughly and also spray some water on the leaves. Then observe the results.

3. If neither of the above is the case, check whether it is a soil problem. Soil that is too sticky easily causes root rot. If the roots have rotted, you must change the soil quickly, trim off the rotten roots cleanly, and replant it.

Precautions

In late autumn and winter, reduce the amount of watering. The peace lily is a plant species that loves high temperatures, and prolonged low temperatures and dampness easily cause its roots to rot and its above-ground parts to turn yellow and wither. So in winter, pay special attention to cold protection and warmth retention, while also keeping the potting soil moist.

Keep the overwintering temperature at around 10 degrees; it must not be disturbed.

You can spray a small amount of water with a sprayer every day
