Datong County's leisure agriculture earned 340 million yuan this year

Qinghai News Network report: This year, relying on its unique geographical, resource and environmental advantages, Datong County has expanded new space for agricultural development, opened up new areas for tourism development, developed leisure agriculture sightseeing tourism into a new highlight of rural tourism, and achieved comprehensive tourism revenue of 340 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 36%.
Datong County has actively given play to the modern agriculture industrial belt centered on the modern facility agriculture demonstration zone along Shuangxin Highway, vigorously developing leisure agriculture sightseeing tourism. The county now has 113 rural farmhouses, leisure farms and agricultural leisure bases, with 1,096 people engaged in the catering industry, accounting for 60% of the county's tourism economy. It successfully held the Qinghai Datong Second Specialty Fruit and Vegetable Picking Festival and the Qinghai Fourth Laoyeshan Hua'er Fair, during which a total of more than 1.785 million tourist visits from inside and outside the province were received, generating revenue of 340 million yuan.
Recently, Datong County was rated by the Ministry of Agriculture as a “National Demonstration County for Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism”, the Datong Shennong Nectarine Base was rated by the Ministry of Agriculture as a national demonstration site for leisure agriculture and rural tourism, and the Datong County Modern Agriculture Exhibition Base was rated by the Qinghai Provincial Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry as a Qinghai provincial demonstration site for leisure agriculture and rural tourism.
