Shaanxi's specialty agricultural products e-commerce development enters the fast lane
In the season when Zhouzhi kiwifruit ripens, fruit grower Li Qunhu from Zhouyi Village, Louguan Town, had a bumper harvest of 3 mu of kiwifruit, with income exceeding 10,000 yuan per mu. Li Qunhu happily explained the reason for the increased income: "I sold the kiwifruit through e-commerce, without the layer-by-layer 'skimming' of middlemen, so most of the money went into my own pocket."
The "e-commerce" Li Qunhu mentioned is electronic commerce. He only needs to follow the order agreement signed with the e-commerce company, deliver the picked and boxed kiwifruit to Xi'an Hengda Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. in the county seat, and through the company's online sales platform, sell the kiwifruit directly to consumers by express delivery, saving many intermediate links.
It is understood that Zhouzhi County alone sold about 3,500 tons of kiwifruit online this year, with sales more than 10 times higher than last year.
With the help of rapidly developing e-commerce, Shaanxi fruit is being sold more conveniently to all parts of the country and even overseas.
The Jinxing Cherry Cooperative in Baqiao District, Xi'an, drew on the sales model of "Yangcheng Lake" hairy crabs and cooperated with SF Express Logistics Company. Through methods such as SF Best and the "Chengxiang Le" mobile APP application, it sold 158 tons of "Bailuyuan" cherries in 195 cities nationwide, breaking the rigid pattern of previous years in which cherry sales were mainly local wholesale and out-of-town sales did not exceed 10 cities.
Driven by the benefits, in September this year, the Bailuyuan Grape Theme Park in Baqiao District joined hands with SF Express again, bringing in the agricultural inspection department to follow up throughout the process, issuing quality inspection cards for online grape sales, and carrying out nationwide online grape ordering. Riding on SF Express's dedicated flights, Bailuyuan's "Hutai No. 8" grapes sold unexpectedly well in Guangzhou, Shanghai, and even Hong Kong, China, and other places.
Luochuan apples, which are high quality and have traceable quality and safety, have also achieved full "blooming" both online and offline. It is reported that more than 1,200 online stores on Taobao alone sell Luochuan apples, and sales this year are expected to reach more than 30 million yuan.
In addition to fruit, more and more fresh agricultural products have also joined the ranks of online sales. Shaanxi Meinong Network Technology Co., Ltd., with the business philosophy of "buy nationwide, sell nationwide," sells "Xiyu Meinong" brand agricultural products. The company has opened online stores on many well-known third-party platforms in China, including Taobao, JD.com, Yihaodian, and Baidu Weigou. Online sales have developed rapidly, with sales growing several times year after year.
In order to better support the development of e-commerce across the province, in July this year the provincial government issued several opinions on further accelerating the development of e-commerce, providing policy support for the rapid development and growth of e-commerce across the province.
As of now, Shaanxi Province has more than 60,000 registered websites, more than 150,000 merchants applying e-commerce, and the growth rate of business entities is higher than that of most provinces in western China. Taking JD.com's recently launched open platform as an example, 70% of the enterprises settled in from the five northwestern provinces and regions are Shaanxi enterprises. A large number of traditional enterprises such as Xi'an Aiju Grain and Oil Group and Xi'an Gudu Safe Breakfast Engineering Co., Ltd. have successively "gone electric" and built their own e-commerce platforms. Many well-known e-commerce brands such as China Juice Network and Silk Road Business Travel have emerged. Many people of insight have commented this way: Shaanxi's specialty agricultural products have entered the e-commerce fast lane. (Reporters Yuan Lihua, Wu Shasha)
