Agricultural e-commerce matchmaking launched frequently

Quanzhou has abundant resources of specialty agricultural products. In Nan'an alone, the e-commerce transaction volume of agricultural products this year has already exceeded 500 million yuan. In mid-November, the E-commerce Association organized elite operators from Quanzhou's e-commerce sector to travel to the impoverished township of Xiangyang in Nan'an to exchange and connect with local agricultural operators. Not long ago, Cai Yinghui, secretary of the Xiangyang Township Party Committee, even brought heads of various cooperatives in the township to Quanzhou Shanghu and other platforms for a return visit and matchmaking.

“We have initially reached a cooperation intention and want to create a dedicated Xiangyang channel on Shanghu.” Yan Qiqiu, general manager of Hushang China, revealed.

Number of Taobao Villages increased 10-fold year on year

Yesterday, relevant personnel from the Quanzhou E-commerce Association and Anxi's first batch of Taobao Villages traveled to Lishui to attend the Second Taobao Village Summit Forum. At the forum, senior executives of Alibaba Group shared new developments in rural e-commerce. Government personnel from Anxi in Quanzhou, Lishui in Zhejiang, and Caoxian in Shandong also jointly discussed how to provide good services and support local rural e-commerce development.

“Alibaba Group will implement three major support policies for Taobao Villages, including credit, training and promotion.” Relevant personnel from the Quanzhou E-commerce Association said these are the pain-point demands of agricultural e-commerce. At the end of last year, only 20 national Taobao Villages were announced at the first “Taobao Village Summit Forum.” This year the number increased 10-fold, and the number of Taobao Villages in Quanzhou also grew from 1 to 17, ranking second among prefecture-level cities nationwide. This year the province has 29 Taobao Villages, with Quanzhou accounting for half.

The villages selected as Taobao Villages this time are spread across various townships. Among them, Shangqing Township in Anxi County has 5 villages selected, and Shangqing Township thus became one of the first batch of Taobao Towns (townships); Jinjiang City has 6 villages selected across Chendai Town, Cizao Town, Longhu Town and Yonghe Town; Nan'an City has 3 villages selected across Fengzhou Town, Xiamei Town and Lefeng Town, and there are also Xunzhong Village and Baomei Village in Dehua and Qianpu Village in Shishi.

Fujian becomes a province in the “Thousand Counties and Ten Thousand Villages” plan

The province's first Alibaba Rural Taobao project launched in Youxi County

Morning Post News (Reporter Wang Yujing) After Alibaba successfully listed in the United States, it launched a new round of development strategy. Under the joint promotion of the Provincial Department of Commerce, the first Fujian project of Alibaba's “Thousand Counties and Ten Thousand Villages Rural Taobao Plan” settled in Youxi County. On December 20, the project launch ceremony was held at the Minzhong Logistics Park in Youxi County. According to the head of the New Rural Project Team of the Min-Shan Region for the “Thousand Counties and Ten Thousand Villages Rural Taobao Plan,” Youxi County already has 8 townships and 14 village sites selected as the first batch of cooperative service stations. Its operating model can be summarized as the “five ones”: one village center point, one dedicated network cable, one computer, one oversized screen, and a group of trained technical personnel, while demonstrating and driving more people to participate.

Liu Depei, deputy director of the Provincial Department of Commerce, introduced: In October this year, Alibaba Group launched the “Thousand Counties and Ten Thousand Villages” plan, and will invest 10 billion yuan within three to five years to establish 1,000 county-level e-commerce operation centers and 100,000 village-level e-commerce service stations, building a rural e-commerce network system combining urban and rural areas for the vast rural areas nationwide. During the same period, the main leaders of the Provincial Department of Commerce personally led a delegation to Alibaba Group and negotiated strategic cooperation with Alibaba on launching rural e-commerce, making Fujian the third province nationwide after Zhejiang and Guangdong to cooperate with Alibaba in advancing the “Thousand Counties and Ten Thousand Villages” plan. It is said that next year the Provincial Department of Commerce will further deepen agriculture-related e-commerce work, hold a provincial-level e-commerce county summit, and coordinate the introduction of relevant policies and measures to support rural e-commerce development, giving strong support in demonstration and promotion, talent training, and logistics support.
