The mini fragrant pig actually grew to 1,000 jin!

A farmer in Heli Community, Fucheng Town, Funing County, Yancheng, Jiangsu, received two adorable mini pigs as a gift from a friend in Shanghai 4 years ago, and now they have grown bigger and bigger, with their current weight already exceeding 1,000 jin. Keep them or not - the owner once agonized over this, but yesterday he said he would continue raising them until they break the world record.

The farmer is named Yao Shaojun, the owner of a local crocodile breeding base. Four years ago, a friend from a Shanghai farm gave him two “mini fragrant pigs” as a gift, but unexpectedly, under his careful raising, these two “mini fragrant pigs” grew bigger and bigger, with a body length of more than 2 m and a height of about 1.5 m. One of them, a pig named “Dahua”, has reached 1,100 jin in weight, while “Dahei” weighs 1,000 jin.

Yao Shaojun said that when he first received “Dahua” and “Dahei”, they weighed only 9 jin and 8 jin respectively. After that, he kept raising them carefully, feeding them green grass, rice chaff, vegetables, fruit and so on twice a day, in the morning and afternoon. Usually, one pig eats about 60 jin of feed per meal; for example, in the morning, rice chaff, rice bran, soybean cake, vegetables and so on are mixed with water, of which water makes up two-thirds. At noon, green grass, vegetables and fruit are the main foods, which are relatively more substantial.
