2015 Bamboo Rat Farming Industry Status Forecast

Regardless of what the bamboo rat industry's status was before 2014, based on Guangxi He Family Bamboo Rat's understanding of the market, in 2014 the bamboo rat industry entered another peak phase: prices rose, bamboo rat farms could not meet demand, and the number of people joining showed an upward trend. In my spare time, I will conduct a topic analysis of the 2015 bamboo rat farming industry status forecast. The following are personal views and do not represent the farm.

More people exiting, more people joining, more people succeeding

Although there will be many competitors in bamboo rat farming every year, and competition is quite fierce, this competitive pressure can be understood from the various bamboo rat groups. At present, the relatively mature markets include: Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan, Hunan, and Yunnan, and prices vary unevenly across regions, with Guizhou and Sichuan relatively higher. This leads to a problem: the price gap is too large, and when choosing breeding stock, people place far more importance on price than on distance, while more people choose to bring in breeding stock from Guangxi and Hunan. If your farm has no brand recognition in the bamboo rat industry and only local recognition, the pressure of competition will add another ratio to the past exits. In today's era, the internet is a nationwide gathering. At present, if people can recognize you online, you can secure a bowl of rice; otherwise, you will always be investing without income. CCTV's attention to bamboo rats has also become higher than in previous years, which has led more entrepreneurs to join the bamboo rat industry, with those between 18 and 35 making up the majority, and their understanding of bamboo rat entrepreneurship is often different from the older generation's ideas about farming bamboo rats, which in turn has made those farms with brand recognition more successful, so there are more successes, more joiners, and more exits.

After-sales service and technical support are moving toward competition

In the past, bamboo rat sales tended to follow traditional forms: farms sold bamboo rats, buyers bought bamboo rats, and if there were problems they went to the farm, and if there were technical problems they went to the farm; if the farm did not respond in time, they could only wait for the bamboo rats to die. In 2015, this situation will change greatly. Various farms will place more emphasis on improving the quality of bamboo rat after-sales service and on making technical support more routine. They will track buyers' service and technical needs at scheduled and unscheduled times, using improved service and technical service to gain market competition opportunities.

Online promotion and sales have improved somewhat, but the proportion is not high

As for selling and promoting bamboo rats online, many farms began doing this long ago, but this is only a small number of people. For farms across the country, this group is still very small. However, in 2015, those who already understood online promotion are beginning to move toward mobile promotion, and newly joined people have also directly entered mobile promotion. Everyone can look at the slightly larger farms around them; they almost all have their own farm websites, WeChat, Weibo, and other external communication accounts. It is obvious that the popularity of online bamboo rat promotion has improved somewhat, and Baidu promotion has also increased compared with before. But this increase can only be considered an upgrade by one level, not a very large leap. There are still many farms that simply do not understand the internet; perhaps all they understand is chatting on QQ, and if they have a website, they paid someone else to build one and then let it sit there unmanaged.

Bamboo rat farming will trend younger

I firmly believe that in another two to three years, bamboo rat farming will no longer be exclusive to the post-70s generation, and post-80s and post-90s people will outnumber post-70s bamboo rat farmers. This is based on evidence: in past chats, the people I came into contact with were basically over 35 and had been farming for several years, while now post-80s and post-90s farmers can be seen everywhere talking freely about the future of bamboo rats.
