Wood ear mushroom farmers harvest wood ear mushrooms in Qiuligou Township, Dunhua City

On December 4, Wang Yan, CEO of Shenyang Quanxinquanli Technology Co., Ltd., rushed to Dunhua City, Jilin Province, to purchase wild wood ear mushrooms. He also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the local government, under which the local area will supply goods on a long-term basis and sell the specialty agricultural product "Qiuligou mineral spring wood ear mushrooms" across the country. Through the Jilin Youth Development Foundation, a financial aid fund was established: for every portion of wood ear mushrooms sold, one yuan is donated to support students.

Mao Ruiqiong, Party secretary of Qiuligou Township in Dunhua City, said that Qiuligou wood ear mushrooms grow on mineral water at the foot of the Changbai Mountains, and their quality is first-rate. But because they lacked a brand, they had long been impossible to distinguish on the market from ordinary wood ear mushrooms, and could not fetch a "good price." In addition, the wood ear mushroom farmers contacted vendors individually and worked as scattered fighters, so they had no pricing power at all and were left with only a "good product." Now, with the government setting the stage and enterprises performing, growers across the township have signed agreements with "Quanxinquanli." "Quanxinquanli" will purchase Qiuligou wood ear mushrooms at a protective price for three years, which both stabilizes the price and promises that the price will increase year by year. This helps local farmers reduce production risks, builds the "Qiuligou mineral spring wood ear mushroom" brand, and leads farmers to prosperity, making them all beam with joy.

"The Northeast is the granary of all China, with extremely high-quality agricultural products. But the reality is that, on the one hand, farmers' high-quality agricultural products cannot be sold, or cannot fetch a good price. On the other hand, people in the cities cannot eat food they trust, cannot eat safe food, and do not know how to buy high-quality agricultural products." Wang Yan told reporters that it was precisely this information asymmetry between supply and demand that made him think of a business opportunity. Three years ago, he and three other "post-80s" partners like him bet all their assets and founded Shenyang Quanxinquanli Technology Co., Ltd. On the one hand, "Quanxinquanli" helps farmers establish cooperatives or family farms, carry out grain processing, formulate contract farming plans, and improve the land planting structure. At present, it has already established a miscellaneous grains production base in Chaoyang, Liaoning; a Koshihikari rice production base in Donggang City, Dandong; a wood ear mushroom planting professional cooperative in Dunhua City, Jilin; and an organic rice production base in Wuchang City, Heilongjiang. On the other hand, through today's booming "Internet Plus," it operates Northeast rice, miscellaneous grains, and mountain delicacy agricultural products online. It has already established its own branded online stores on major online platforms and has gained some reputation. It has also set up physical experience stores in many places across the country, along with specialty canteen experience stores, to give customers a better experience.

"People say agricultural products have no standards. But we firmly believe in creating agricultural products with a craftsman's spirit, controlling production with strict environmental standards, and requiring shipments according to demanding standards, forming a good brand of high-standard agricultural products. That is what we pursue," Wang Yan said. (Chen Fuyi)
