Old Ding's mushroom-growing method, earning 100,000 yuan a year

Hello, teachers of the "Road to Wealth" program team. I am a specialist oyster mushroom grower.

I began learning to grow oyster mushrooms at the Henan Provincial Institute of Biology in 1985. I am 58 this year. Through many years of practice, I have summed up a completely new mushroom-growing method. Because my surname is Ding, everyone calls this method Old Ding's mushroom-growing method.

The biggest features of this oyster mushroom growing method are: it saves labor, saves time, and saves spawn, and moreover the spawn runs fast, mushrooms come out early, yields are high, and yellow mushroom disease does not occur. Every year I grow 150,000 jin of dry substrate, with basically no spoiled bags. The old method uses a spawn rate of 20 percent, while the new method uses only 2 percent. The old method takes one month for the substrate to fully run, and 40 days to produce mushrooms, while the new method takes 15 days for the substrate to fully run and 20 days to produce mushrooms. With the old method of management, especially in old mushroom sheds, yellow mushroom disease is extremely serious, while with the new method there is none, or very little. With the old method of pest control, there is still no good way to this day. Each time pests are treated, one flush of oyster mushrooms is ruined, which gives many mushroom growers terrible headaches, while the new method solves this problem very well.

Now about the benefits. Looking at advertisements online, growing mushrooms can bring in millions a year. I do not have that ability, but earning 100,000 or 80,000 yuan a year is possible. This is much better than going out to work away from home all year round, earning 40,000 to 50,000 yuan, with husband and wife separated between two places for long periods and living the life of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl.

I hope the relevant leaders can help promote this method. Thank you.
