To undertake the transfer of Beijing-Tianjin agricultural industry and build a circular-development agricultural demonstration park and a vegetable basket base for Beijing and Tianjin, Beijing Capital Agribusiness Group and Hebei Luan County Xinlvzhou Agriculture Co., Ltd. cooperated to build the Beijing Luzhou Agricultural Science and Technology Industrial Park in Luan County. Phases I and II of the industrial park were completed and put into operation in 2011 and 2012 respectively. Phase I covers 350 mu, with a total investment of 200 million yuan, a designed dairy cattle capacity of 3,500 head, and a total floor area of 78,200 sq m; Phase II covers 699 mu, with an investment of 300 million yuan, a designed Jersey cattle capacity of 6,500 head, and a total floor area of 117,000 sq m. At present, Phases I and II together have 9,000 dairy cattle in stock, producing 120 tons of high-quality fresh milk per day, including 70 tons of Jersey milk per day. Phase III is planned to cover 5,533 mu, with a planned total investment of 1.02 billion yuan. After completion, combined with local cold-chain logistics, e-commerce platforms and other "Internet Plus" new measures, the project will integrate local agricultural product resources and gradually form a vegetable, meat, milk and egg production base supplying Beijing, Tianjin and Tangshan, and is expected to create employment for 400 farmers, driving and promoting the rapid development of the local agricultural industry.
