A million jin of ginger unsold, hidden deep in cellars awaiting buyers
Original title: A million jin of unsold ginger launches a "battle to defend the cellars"

On December 17, two major ginger growers in Guanyang County carry ginger on their shoulder poles, preparing to store it in cellars.
This year, farmers in Guanyang County, Guilin City, Guangxi, achieved a bumper harvest of ginger, but due to the market and various other factors, more than 2 million jin of ginger across the county went unsold. Among them, Panjiang Village in Guanyinge Township, which has a history of growing ginger for several hundred years and is known as "ginger village," saw 300,000 jin of ginger stuck with no buyers. As the Spring Festival approaches, farmers are moving the unsold ginger into new and old cellars for proper storage, waiting to sell it.
