Ningxia's Wealth Creation Alliance returns home to tap into opportunities and root out poverty
Returning entrepreneur Zhang Jingyang founded the Zhenhu Tianhe Under-forest Industry Cooperative in Xiji County, Ningxia in 2013, engaging in guinea fowl breeding and market promotion. Returning entrepreneur Nan Guoqiang founded the Yifeng Breeding Cooperative in Xiji County, Ningxia in 2013. It has now built 3 breeding farms with 12,000 black goats in stock, distributed 3,536 subsidized black goats to local impoverished households, and generates annual sales of nearly 5 million yuan (photographed on December 22, composite photo).
Returning migrant worker entrepreneur Fu Mingrui founded the Zhenhu Pengqiang Coarse Grain Planting Cooperative in Xiji County, Ningxia in 2012. The cooperative sells more than 1,500 tons of coarse grain annually, with sales of more than 7 million yuan, driving more than 2,000 impoverished households across the township to develop coarse grain planting (photographed on December 23, composite photo).
In recent years, a wave of returning-home entrepreneurship has been surging. Zhenhu Township in Xiji County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, has established a targeted poverty alleviation demonstration park led by capable individuals, guiding leaders to develop together, establishing a "Wealth Creation Alliance" to jointly explore the market, share risks, and pursue group development, giving play to the wealth-generating initiative of these "recalled capable individuals." At present, the Zhenhu Township Returning Migrant Worker Entrepreneurship Association has united 75 leaders to develop as a group in industries such as forage planting and processing, coarse grain planting, black goat and guinea fowl breeding, and plastic film recycling. The local government has also, through the "cooperative + impoverished households" model, incorporated family breeding of black goats and guinea fowl into poverty alleviation subsidy projects, helping a total of 1,350 village households escape poverty and increase income, with average household income rising by more than 2,000 yuan.
