"In order to choose a breeding cooperation site for the new store 'Laixi Meat Shop', we began field visits four months ago to find farms that meet standard conditions in terms of breeding scale, feed formula, sanitation and epidemic prevention, and waste treatment." said Zhang Xueliang, general manager of Beijing Wugufengyuan Food Co., Ltd. At first, through production based on sales, existing pigs were selected according to breed, weight and other conditions, and they began feeding them scientifically proportioned feed with added organic selenium. "We are gradually helping Mr. Sun phase out crossbred native pigs and using professional breeding knowledge to adjust his feeding model."

Mr. Sun said that pigs raised under the new feeding model have better meat quality and taste than ordinary pigs. "Selenium-rich pork is low in cholesterol and has a rich aroma, which also makes the price per jin of this pork about five yuan higher than ordinary pork." Zhang Xueliang said that next, the purchase price will be adjusted according to Mr. Sun's breeding situation, and if the pigs are raised well, the purchase price will continue to be raised.
