Small white radishes dried into golden bars of prosperity

Recently, walking into Takeju Village Committee, Daqiao Township, Shiping County, snow-white radish strips hung on drying racks across the fields, like white curtains draped among the green mountains and waters, while groups of Yi people washed radishes or dried radish strips, a busy scene everywhere.

"Now everyone is busy harvesting radishes and drying radish strips, hoping to sell them for a good price as soon as possible," introduced Yang Jinfeng, secretary of the village Party general branch. Drying radish strips is very simple: after washing with water, there is no need to peel them; cut once horizontally and once vertically with a tool, but do not cut them through; lift them up as a string and hang them on the drying rack for a few days.
