An in-depth interpretation of the major agricultural trends in 2016
Major agricultural trends in 2016
In 2016, land supervision will become stricter
Many industrial and commercial enterprises transfer basic farmland for leisure agriculture, but in fact they are all skirting national policy. As early as 2014, the state proposed strictly prohibiting the “non-agriculturalization” and “commercialization” of cultivated land, and required strictly guarding the red line of cultivated land.
The No. 1 Central Document of 2016 proposed ensuring the completion of 800 million mu of contiguous high-standard farmland, which sends a signal: the state will get serious about land supervision!
2 Large-scale agriculture ushers in huge business opportunities
The No. 1 Central Document of 2016 required ensuring the completion of 800 million mu and striving to complete 1 billion mu of centralized, contiguous, drought- and flood-resistant, stable and high-yield, ecologically friendly high-standard farmland.
This gives everyone a strong signal: large-scale agriculture will be an unswerving national policy for future agricultural development.
3 Large grain growers usher in greater subsidy opportunities
In 2016, it was proposed to advance high-standard farmland construction, advance farmland water conservancy construction, and advance the construction of a modern agricultural science and technology innovation and extension system. What is behind this series of measures? Protect grain growing, so that actual grain growers can truly receive subsidies!
Starting in 2015, the state began piloting the implementation of “green box subsidies”, such as pest and disease control, technology extension, agricultural infrastructure construction, storage subsidies, and so on. That is, subsidizing the production link, so that actual grain growers can receive subsidies.
At present, the central finance has already issued in advance relevant funds for 2016 such as agricultural support and protection subsidies, agricultural machinery purchase subsidies, and agricultural technology extension and service subsidies, totaling 201.1 billion yuan, with average subsidy funds of about 120 yuan/mu, to support actual growers in carrying out agricultural production.
