Li Xinhui of Yanbao Village, Jixian Town, Zhouzhi County, Xi'an City, who had always worked away from home, was in no hurry to go out for work after the Spring Festival ended. Li Xinhui was among the earlier group of people from his hometown to go out to work. Having often struggled away from home, although he earned quite a bit, he felt that "there was always a sense of unstable drifting." When he came home to celebrate the Spring Festival this year, he saw that the friends who had stayed in the village, some growing fruit trees and some growing vegetables, were also living well, with no small income over the year. In the process of visiting relatives, he kept asking about and looking for ways to start a business and get rich at his doorstep. With the support of his good friend Zhang Youcai, a skilled vegetable grower, he had the idea of staying home to grow vegetables.
Yanbao Village is located south of Zhonghuan Road and east of Shahe River. The soil is sandy loam, loose and fertile, with convenient water conditions and complete irrigation facilities. Last year, hidden pipes were also laid, making watering the land even more time-saving and labor-saving. Li Xinhui is full of confidence about staying home to grow vegetables and get rich. He said: "We are not afraid of being unclear about policies, because the town and village-level service agencies for the people specially provide policy consultation and legal answers; it is no problem if we do not understand technology, because town and village agricultural technology training and village libraries provide help; there is also no need to worry about the sales market, because specialized cooperatives handle purchasing and sales. The government has helped us solve all our worries, so we just need to roll up our sleeves and work!"
"The roads to the village, the roads for daily life, and the roads for production are all being built wider and wider, the buildings are getting more and more beautiful, and the environment is getting better and better. Our hometown is good, and the conditions are there - who would still be willing to go out?" Li Xinhui's words were filled with pride and glory for his hometown. He believes that with Zhonghuan Road widened, the production roads all hardened with cement, and the scale of Jixian Industrial Park growing larger and larger, with more than 80 enterprises already, plus the vigorous development of Jixian Town itself, many people from elsewhere are being attracted to Jixian to develop. Vegetables will certainly not be hard to sell.
In fact, there are quite a few young people who formerly worked away from home and have made the same decision as Li Xinhui to start businesses and develop at their doorstep. "It is not just me who wants to stay and develop in my hometown. Several friends who used to work away from home with me in previous years have also decided one after another to stay and go all out in our hometown," Li Xinhui told the reporter.
