Zhusha Village, Qinbei District, Qinzhou City, Guangxi, China, gets rich by raising cattle
Zhu Chuanyin, a farmer from Zhupu Village, Baimao Town, Yuexi County, after 15 years of arduous struggle, has gone from being a layman in the breeding industry to a skilled breeder who now leads surrounding farmers to prosperity together. He was recently named one of the "Most Beautiful Farmers of Yuexi County."
Zhu Chuanyin is from Zhuci Group, Zhupu Village, Baimao Town, Yuexi County. After graduating from junior high school in 1991, he worked at a ceramic tile factory in Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. In 1999, he learned that his hometown could develop breeding, so he resolutely returned to Yuexi and began a difficult entrepreneurial career.
In order to find a development path truly suited to his hometown and the market, Zhu Chuanyin once grew greenhouse vegetables and raised goats, rabbits, pigeons, seven-colored pheasants, as well as free-range native chickens in woodland and hatched chicks. In the end, he chose to raise native chickens.
However, the breeding path in the early days of entrepreneurship was not very smooth. Zhu Chuanyin had just figured out some tricks in raising native chickens when he encountered the 2003 "SARS" outbreak, and then the 2004 "bird flu." Not only could the chickens he raised not be sold, but they were infected by plague and died in batches. Zhu Chuanyin did not become discouraged because of this. He continuously summed up experience, and his breeding scale expanded from 300 native chickens raised per year in 1999 to more than 10,000 adult chickens raised per year now. Today, he has 50 mu of mountain land for free-range native chickens, nearly 10,000 native chickens on hand, an annual total output of about 100,000 chickens, and annual sales of more than 1 million yuan. In order to expand sales channels for native chickens, Zhu Chuanyin set up a native chicken specialty store in the county seat, and also established stable partnerships with Shanghai Yilian Group, Wuhan Shenlong Mountain Villa, and the Jingchu Net Elderly Care Center, providing a series of services for large and small breeders including epidemic prevention technology, feed supply, and product sales.
In 2012, Zhu Chuanyin established the Yuexi Zhulinwan Native Chicken Breeding Professional Cooperative and registered the "Yangjiaojian" trademark. While succeeding in entrepreneurship, he also used his entrepreneurial experience to lead more than 30 breeders in the county and surrounding areas, ranging from several thousand chickens to several hundred, achieving the goal of leading one family, supporting one family, and making one family successful. Yangjiaojian is located in a remote area, and in addition to his parents being honest and kind, his father and his two brothers left two uncles who never married or had children, and Zhu Chuanyin cares for all of their daily lives. For more than ten years, a family of eight has depended on his chicken raising for their livelihood.
Zhu Chuanyin is also active online under the screen name "I Sell Chickens, Wife." In 2012, he joined the Yuexi Volunteer Alliance, actively promoting his hometown and devoting himself to public welfare. "Although each donation is not much, it represents a bit of love. Sometimes, a modest force of love can let a family in difficulty see hope," Zhu Chuanyin said. His spirit of dedication has won unanimous praise from netizens and websites. He was awarded the title of "Best Farmer Representative" by a website and has many times been rated as an "Advanced Individual in Dual Training and Dual Leading" by the local Party committee and government.
