On February 17, Wang Xiaotao (front right), deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, and Sun Lijun (front left), vice president of Alibaba Group, signed a cooperation agreement.

On the same day, the National Development and Reform Commission and Alibaba Group signed in Beijing a strategic cooperation agreement on developing rural e-commerce in conjunction with return-home entrepreneurship pilot projects. Over the next three years, the two sides will jointly support more than 300 pilot counties (cities, districts) in developing rural e-commerce in conjunction with return-home entrepreneurship pilot projects, continuously promoting the building of industrial chains and the economic environment in the pilot areas, especially rural areas in the central and western regions, and attracting more people to return home to start businesses and find employment.
