Villagers get rich by growing tea and do not forget their fellow villagers

At two in the morning, the tea-frying machine at Pan Shifang's home in Shitang Community, Hengxi Street, had already started running with a "clang clang" sound. Pan Shifang and his wife have been engaged in tea production for nearly 20 years. They are not only a widely known specialized household, but have also led local villagers to get rich together.

Pan Shifang's family was not well off before. The whole family's income mainly depended on farming and working odd jobs, and life was tight. In 2007, the couple decided to start growing tea. At first, the couple did not understand tea-growing techniques, and in the first year they ran at a loss. In the second year, the village committee brought in professional personnel to guide their production and helped them apply for a loan. The couple's tea finally had a bumper harvest, and they paid off the loan.

In 2009, Pan Shifang founded the Shitang Bamboo Sea Tea Factory and applied for a registered trademark under "Panfeng", creating employment opportunities for more than 30 women in the village. Now Pan Shifang's tea garden has already reached more than 100 mu. In recent years, Pan Shifang has continuously developed new products. Originally the factory only produced Biluochun, but now it has added many products such as Nature Wild Mountain Tea, pan-fired green tea, and Panfeng brand Silver Bud. Pan Shifang also designed his own packaging and is applying for QS certification, hoping to continuously increase the brand awareness of the tea while improving its quality.

When the villagers saw that Pan Shifang had fattened his wallet by growing tea, they came one after another to ask for advice. The couple generously shared their experience, and sometimes even took the initiative to visit homes to guide fertilization and pruning of tea trees. A few years ago, many villagers were anxious because they had nowhere to fry tea. Everyone asked Pan Shifang and his wife for help, so Pan Shifang guided the villagers in learning to use an "electric frying pan", which not only solved the villagers' problem, but also made the tea quality in Shitang Village better and better. Under the leadership of Pan Shifang and his wife, the villagers planted tea one after another, and on average each household increased its income by more than 20,000 yuan.
