Han Wuzhen, a pathfinder for farmers to increase income and get rich

In Hanzha Village, Dongyuan Town, Shapotou District, when Han Wuzhen is mentioned, everyone knows him. This is not only because he is an expert at growing chives, but also a capable seller of chives, and more importantly, he has always been the first person to "eat crab". Sure enough, following the pace of the city's agricultural industrial structure adjustment, Han Wuzhen has tried growing chives in large arched sheds.

When the reporter met Han Wuzhen, he was inspecting the seedling emergence in his chive seedling field. He said that what he wants to trial-grow this year is chives in large arched sheds, and to ensure the best trial results, raising seedlings is the top priority, with no room for any mishap.

"This year our cooperative contracted nearly 200 mu of land and built pull-type, high-span arched sheds. The benefits of this kind of large arched shed chives will definitely be better than the previous small arched sheds." Han Wuzhen said that he has been growing arched shed chives for 18 years, and the growing method went from the initial small arched sheds to last year's medium arched sheds. Chives went from being unsellable to now being in short supply, and every transformation he was at the forefront. Leading the establishment of a cooperative, introducing new technologies and new varieties, going to the market, and broadening sales channels... over these years he has put in a lot of effort and spent a lot of thought. Now Han Wuzhen's economic income is quite considerable, but what makes him happiest is that through his own efforts, he has also led the surrounding people to become rich.

Han Wuzhen said that last year the 16 medium arched shed chives he trial-planted were very successful. This year large-scale promotion begins, which will increase more income for growers. "This year we plan to promote a 300-mu medium arched shed chive base in Hanzha Village, and the seedling work has already begun." Han Wuzhen said.
