March spring light is beautiful, and the mountain area is even more charming. On a flatland at the foot of Fanjing Mountain, the main peak of the Wuling Mountains, several large ponds and clear pools are set among rapeseed flowers, a village built against the mountain is nestled under peach and plum blossoms, and a winding river nourishes the land on the flatland and, even more, the lives of the surrounding villagers.

This is the scene a reporter saw recently upon entering Yuliangxi Village, Minxiao Town, Jiangkou County, Guizhou. Li Wenqiang, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Jiangkou County People's Congress and concurrently Party secretary of Minxiao Town, introduced that Chinese mitten crabs and crayfish are raised in the several ponds, while sturgeon and salmon are raised in the clear pools. These aquatic products have been gradually developed mainly by relying on the high-quality water source of Fanjing Mountain.
