Cattle farming becomes a good way for farmers to increase income and get rich
Farmer Wang Yong achieved prosperity by raising cattle. Although he was once confused, under the demonstration and guidance of advanced prosperous individuals, he ultimately found his own path to wealth, and with the support of beneficial policies, his breeding path became wider and wider, and he became more and more motivated.
Recently, the author walked into the home of Wang Yong, a farmer in Group 6 of Shibaqingdi Village, Tuanjie Town, Hanghou. A row of neat and imposing brick-and-tile houses came into view. Wang Yong smiled and told the author that he had earned some money raising cattle over the years, and the new house was built a few years ago at a cost of more than 100,000 yuan. The land in Shibaqingdi Village, Tuanjie Town, is relatively severely salinized. A few years ago, Wang Yong worked busy for a year on about 30 mu of land and earned at most 20,000 to 30,000 yuan. Later, seeing the lives of nearby villagers engaged in breeding improve day by day, Wang Yong also had new plans. With his savings from many years of farming, he bought several dairy cows and began breeding while farming.
"Seeing others make money from breeding, I wanted to try it too, but only after actually raising them did I realize there is so much knowledge involved. The few dairy cows I raised at the beginning were basically tuition fees, and I hardly made any money." Speaking of his failed experience raising dairy cows, Wang Yong smiled shyly.
Wang Yong did not admit defeat. He bought several young beef cattle from nearby farms, raised more than 100,000 yuan, and built a shed of more than 900 sq m, beginning to develop beef cattle breeding. "No matter what work you do, if you want to do it well, you cannot do without learning. I summed up my previous cattle-raising experience, and combined with paying attention to learning, the beef cattle have now grown to about 30 head." Wang Yong said, "Now I plant about 50 mu of land in total. About 30 mu is planted with corn as feed for the cattle, and of the remaining about 20 mu, half is planted with wheat and half with sunflowers. Adding the beef cattle sold each year, the annual net profit can reach 100,000 yuan."
