Qu Zhiyang, 57 years old this year, is of medium build, serious in his work, and tenacious. When talking about his invention, Qu Zhiyang had endless things to say. "I could not sleep day or night, and I could not find the right person to consult, so I had to rely on myself to slowly figure it out. Sometimes when I suddenly had an idea, I would get up in the middle of the night and go to the warehouse to keep thinking. I would squat there for several hours at a time. Sometimes I had to repeat work on one part more than 30 times. If you do not laugh at me, after I stayed there for a long time, even the mice in the warehouse were not afraid of me," Qu Zhiyang said with a smile.

Hard work pays off. On January 16, 2008, Qu Zhiyang obtained a utility model patent certificate for a multi-functional harvester stacker; on October 30, 2013, he obtained another utility model patent certificate for an adjustable precision seeder for sloped land. His invention not only won praise from experts and recognition from farmers, but also led farmers onto the road to prosperity through science and technology.

At present, he has produced 1,000 agricultural machines, with a market price of more than 3,000 yuan each. The products are sold to surrounding cities such as Gannan County, Zhalantun, and Molidawa Banner, and are deeply favored by the vast number of farmer users.
