Ostrich King Li Chaozhi: A Prosperity Leader in Tengchong, Baoshan

In China's ostrich farming circles, Li Chaozhi counts as a renowned expert; type his name into a search engine and the words "Ostrich King" pop up immediately.
In 2015, the ostrich farm that Li Chaozhi built single-handedly achieved an annual output value of 3.5 million yuan. Over 10 years of entrepreneurship, Li Chaozhi has used Tengchong as his base, spreading ostrich products to the surrounding areas, Guangzhou, the coastal regions, and even across the country. The enterprise has entered a period of stable development; the ostrich farm has grown to 200 mu, and this year's output value is expected to reach 4 million to 5 million yuan. While reaping wealth, he has also become a star entrepreneur in Tengchong.
Li Chaozhi calculated the 2016 output value for reporters: the four breeding bases in Tengchong, Lincang, Ruili, and Lianghe can achieve an output value of more than 3 million yuan; 25 mu of red-fleshed kiwifruit is expected to yield 300,000 yuan; blueberries, cherries, and bayberry are expected to yield 100,000 yuan; the output value of other catering and agricultural sideline products has not yet been calculated.
"Entrepreneurs, especially small and micro businesses, must focus on one point; that way they take fewer detours!" This is the essence of entrepreneurship Li Chaozhi has summed up through practice.
Before farming ostriches, Li Chaozhi also had his confusions. After obtaining a youth entrepreneurship loan in Tengchong, Li Chaozhi took 2 million yuan in funds, full of ambition, and put the money into the green vegetable market he had never set foot in, and ended up losing it. After much tossing about, Li Chaozhi's friends and classmates advised him: focus on ostriches, do ostriches well, and once you do, other things will produce a knock-on effect, and business will be no worry.
Now, after various explorations, Li Chaozhi is calm inside and firm in confidence. With ostriches as his flagship product, he has developed a series of agricultural sideline products including ostrich meat, ostrich leather, ostrich eggs, and ostrich feathers, built a sightseeing and leisure experience farm, and with Tengchong as the center, opened franchise stores in surrounding counties and cities.
Service first, attention to human nature - this is the philosophy Li Chaozhi arrived at after continuous exploration.
Guests come to see the ostriches and not only want a meal - what to do? Build a leisure farm, plant kiwifruit, blueberries, cherries, bayberry... Guests are picky about food ingredients - what to do? Grow scallions, ginger, cilantro, and green leafy vegetables, raise pigs and chickens... Guests arrive and don't want a meal, only want to eat ostrich meat barbecue - what to do? So, start a roast ostrich meat business... Guests arrive and there is no one to look after the children - what to do? So a children's playground was opened in the park...
"When service is good, business naturally becomes good too," Li Chaozhi believes.
Now, arriving at the gate of the ostrich manor, from a distance one can see a small shop providing free services to passersby, where the shop offers guests free hot water and consultation services. Li Chaozhi says a cup of hot water is nothing remarkable, but it can warm a guest's heart.
