The aroma of tea fills the air, good wife Gong Chunzhi is full of civility
Gong Chunzhi, born in December 1980, a member of the Communist Party of China, from Zhongmapo Village, Xiazhuang Town, Ju County, Rizhao, Shandong. She is the general manager of Ju County Xiazhuang Chunyuan Green Tea Factory and the chairman of the Chunyuan Tea Professional Cooperative. At the beginning of building the factory, her husband of just over a year died in a car accident, and the driver who caused the accident fled, leaving Gong Chunzhi with more than 100,000 yuan of debt her husband had incurred before his death. Though the person died, the debt did not die; Gong Chunzhi kept her promise, repaid the debt for her husband, and with her frail shoulders bore the responsibility for both family and society. After several years of effort, she not only paid off the debt, but also developed the tea factory into a modern processing workshop of initial scale, and on November 1, 2011 registered the trademark "Juzhou Chunyuan Green Tea" and established the Chunyuan Tea Professional Cooperative. As the saying goes, happy lives are always alike, but every unhappy life is unhappy in its own way. Faced with misfortune, everyone behaves very differently. The strong choose to take responsibility, the weak choose to escape, and life becomes different because of this.
Gong Chunzhi, a daughter-in-law born in the 1980s, lost her husband, the pillar of the family, in a sudden car accident not long after marriage. What a tremendous blow in life this must have been. Facing more than 100,000 yuan of debt her husband had incurred before his death, looking at the child still in swaddling clothes and crying to be fed, and seeing her parents and parents-in-law whose hair had turned white overnight, one can imagine how difficult Gong Chunzhi's choices in life must have been at that time.
Disaster can crush a person, but it can also temper a person to become stronger and more resilient. Facing hardship, Gong Chunzhi did not choose to escape; she bravely shouldered this family burden: raising the child, serving her parents-in-law, and repaying the debts her husband had left. Though this choice was difficult, Gong Chunzhi made it without hesitation. Although she was not highly educated, she firmly believed in the basic principle that "though the person dies, the debt does not die." Integrity, this traditional virtue of the Chinese nation, was like a seed sown deep in her bones. It was precisely because of this virtue of integrity that she was able to uphold her sense of responsibility, and it was precisely this that enabled her to slowly climb out of suffering and begin her arduous journey of entrepreneurship once again.
Fortunately, with the help of society and her family, her tea factory quickly began to improve. She not only kept her promise and repaid the debts her husband had incurred before his death, but also, while prospering, did not forget her fellow villagers. She established the Chunyuan Green Tea Planting Professional Cooperative, helping 165 households in 4 surrounding villages increase their income and become better off. In addition, with her deep love, she actively took part in public welfare activities, giving back to society bit by bit. From Gong Chunzhi, we can read the courage of traditional Chinese women to take responsibility in the face of hardship, the promise of a thousand pieces of gold in the face of debt, and the great love in the face of people in difficulty. In her, many excellent traditional virtues of the Chinese nation shine brightly.
Through hard work in entrepreneurship and keeping promises, she gained the fragrance of tea. Gong Chunzhi takes tea as her profession and tea as her friend, and imperceptibly she has also acquired tea's unique character. Drinking tea not only lets her taste life, read life, and understand the truths of life; it also brings to the people around her the spiritual effect of refreshing the mind and clearing the heart. In this sense, are Gong Chunzhi's honest character and her good deeds for others not just like a pot of clear tea? In the fragrance of tea that fills the air, she has influenced others and encouraged the whole of society to consciously abide by the core socialist values. May there be more good people like Gong Chunzhi, to refresh and awaken our society; may the spring breeze of civility spread once more, bringing moving moments and bright color to our lives.
