Iron boss from Qian'an switches to goose farming, leading more than 70 rural households onto the road to prosperity

On May 10, a keeper at Zhengnong Goose Breeding Company in Qian'an City, Hebei Province, shows a day-old gosling that has just hatched.

That day, the first batch of 5,000 goslings hatched by Zhengnong Goose Industry moved into the brooding shed. This year the company introduced the fine southern goose breed "Sanduohua" and successfully hatched it. In the coming days, this batch of goslings will be shipped by air to all parts of the country.

Hebei Province Qian'an City Zhengnong Goose Breeding Company was established in September 2007. Ma Yinming, who was previously engaged in iron ore development, transferred more than 500 mu of land in the village and switched to this business. Ma Yinming set up a goose breeding professional cooperative, which has grown from the initial 5 farming households to driving more than 70 farming households. At present, Zhengnong Goose Industry can hatch 6 million goslings a year, with 400,000 commercial geese sent to market, and sales revenue reaching 40 million yuan.
