Shigatse: Fruit and Vegetable Harvesting Helps Poverty Alleviation

Bainang County in Shigatse City, Tibet, held a fruit and vegetable harvesting event, attracting many urban and rural residents and tourists. With counterpart assistance from Shandong Province, Bainang County has built 5,428 vegetable and fruit greenhouses. In 2015, fruit and vegetable output reached 80 million jin, sales revenue exceeded 100 million yuan, more than 3,200 households participated, and more than 1,000 people were helped out of poverty.
