Penji organizes tree-planting activities to green and beautify the homeland

In order to beautify the homeland and improve and restore the ecology, the village work team of the Regional Mountaineering Team stationed in Penji Village, Penji Township, joined the villagers in carrying out a voluntary tree-planting activity on the river beach of Penji Village.

In this tree-planting activity, the village planted trees over an area of about 30 mu. Because the riverbank of Penji Village is covered with pebbles and crushed stone across the entire river beach,

shovels could hardly be of any use, so the villagers could only use pickaxes to dig into the ground and break the stones, lying on the ground and using their hands or small shovels to dig out sand and remove stones bit by bit; every tree pit took great effort and sweat. Although the work was very hard, the villagers remained positive and motivated, and the village work team labored and shared hardships together with more than 50 villagers.

After finishing planting the trees that same day, they immediately enclosed the area with wire mesh fencing, achieving the best possible protection.
