Qianlong.com, Langfang, Hebei, June 6 (Reporter Wang Jieshi) - At the green prevention and control vegetable production base in Niutuo Town, Langfang City, Hebei Province, a "big talent" suddenly appeared. It can spray pesticides over more than ten mu of land in just minutes - it is the knapsack-type high-efficiency room-temperature smoke sprayer.
"The knapsack-type high-efficiency room-temperature smoke sprayer is a 'foolproof machine,'" said its creator Zheng Jianqiu, deputy director of the Beijing Plant Protection Station. The knapsack-type high-efficiency room-temperature smoke sprayer is simple to operate, saving time and effort. Vegetable farmers only need to pour the pre-mixed pesticide solution into the knapsack-type high-efficiency room-temperature smoke sprayer, then use the mobile cable trolley to transport the sprayer to the innermost end of the greenhouse to be sprayed. The farmer carries the sprayer on their back and walks backward from the inside out, spraying into the air above the plants and between the plant rows. In about five minutes, one greenhouse is easily finished.

"Compared with traditional manual press-type sprayers, the knapsack-type high-efficiency room-temperature smoke sprayer uses an electric motor as power, has a wide spraying range, and saves physical effort," introduced Zhang Shunzhai, head of the base. Previously, with ordinary knapsack sprayers, because the droplets were large and uneven, the pesticide utilization rate was very low - only about 30% of the solution landed on the plants. Spraying one mu of land often took two to three hours and was particularly labor-intensive. Now, with this spraying "sharp tool," the problems of pesticide drift, leakage, dripping and loss have been solved. Spraying per mu requires only 5 to 10 minutes, and water usage has also dropped from 50 to 150 liters per mu to 5 to 10 liters.
Farmer Old Sun said with emotion: "For the past dozen years or so, we all carried spray tanks weighing several tens of jin into the greenhouses. Spraying was too tiring, and more importantly, it was easy to get poisoned. Now with the sprayer, it's all done in a few minutes."
"The bullets are the same, but the gun is different - it shoots the bullets farther and more evenly," introduced Zheng Jianqiu, deputy director of the Beijing Plant Protection Station. This knapsack-type high-efficiency room-temperature smoke sprayer has a range of more than ten meters. The droplets formed by the spray are tiny and uniform, with an average diameter of 50 microns - nearly 10 times smaller than the droplet particles of conventional knapsack manual sprayers. The droplets can drift in the air for 30-60 minutes, increasing the pesticide utilization rate by more than 30%.
According to Zheng Jianqiu, it is currently the most ideal modern high-efficiency spraying device for the upgrading of protected horticulture in China, with notable advantages such as significant pesticide savings, water savings and high efficiency. It can be widely used for pest control in various types of protected agriculture, disinfection and humidification of edible fungi, and disinfection and immunization of livestock and poultry breeding sites. It not only has a high pesticide utilization rate, but also high spraying efficiency, low spraying intensity, and guaranteed spraying results. It is especially suitable for high-efficiency service operations of specialized prevention and control service organizations in protected agriculture. At present, more than 400 high-efficiency room-temperature smoke sprayers have been uniformly distributed to green prevention and control demonstration bases in Beijing. In the future, Beijing's full-process green prevention and control technology will be provided free of charge to plant protection departments and relevant vegetable production bases in Tianjin and Hebei, to jointly promote green prevention and control technology and supporting spraying equipment.

Because some pesticides previously required wearing numerous protective equipment during spraying equipment operations, heatstroke was easy in greenhouses with temperatures as high as 40°C.
