10,000 jin of Love-for-Farmers Apricots charity sale this Friday, June 10
It is now the season when apricots ripen. As soon as you enter the orchard, you can smell the fragrance of apricots.
Looking closer, the ground under the trees was covered with fallen apricots.
Is this tree sick? Why are apricots falling all over the ground?
The fruit farmer said these apricots are fully ripe, and when the wind blows, the ripe apricots fall to the ground. Baizhai Town in Xinmi is an important production area for Mixiang apricots in our province, with a fruit tree area of more than 3,000 mu. And Youfangzhuang Village is also the main production area for Mixiang apricots. In Zhou Nuoniu's apricot orchard, the ground was covered with fruit that had fallen from the trees, and many fruits had already been bitten rotten by insects, which was painful to see. They had originally counted on the ripe, sweet apricots throughout the orchard to bring a harvest, but unexpectedly several heavy rains made their lives even harder. Zhou Nuoniu is now over 70 years old, has a mother over 90 years old, and her husband has little education and does not even recognize the markings on a scale! Her two married daughters both have mental problems. Facing the fact that the sweet apricots in her field are now all ripe, she is troubled by having no sales channel, let alone online sales.
In Youfangzhuang Village there are more than 20 other fruit-farming households with difficulties like this. Because most young people in the village go out to work, this year most of the work of selling apricots falls on the left-behind elderly and women. In order to truly help these fruit farmers, the Zhengzhou TV Station program "Zhengzhou Great People's Livelihood" will join with the charity organization Queen's Arrival Club to hold the "10,000 jin of Love-for-Farmers Apricots, True Feelings in Charity Sale" event.
Time: June 10 (this Friday)
Location: Baolong City Plaza, Zhengdong New District; Zijingshan Park
