Dancheng County in Henan Province set up three-summer fire prevention and straw burning ban command posts in the fields of villages across the county, with county, township and village officials assigned to specific areas to enforce the straw burning ban. Meanwhile, all of the more than 4,000 combine harvesters taking part in mechanized harvesting this year were equipped with straw shredders, achieving simultaneous wheat harvesting and straw return to the field.
