This year's wheat harvest uses Didi-style machinery booking, don't miss out on this money-making opportunity
Nowadays, using "Didi" to hail a ride is especially popular in the city, solving everyone's travel problems. And for village farmers, there is now a great "magic tool" to help solve the wheat harvest problem - Didi-style "machinery" booking. Recently during the summer harvest, a new type of agricultural machinery rental APP has become popular in rural Shandong, called the "eTian Internet Platform," including "Zuoye Bao" used by growers and "Kaopu Zuoye" used by agricultural machinery operators. "Internet Plus" links machinery operators and large grain growers together, becoming a new highlight of this year's summer harvest in Shandong. So, how do these APPs work? In which areas of the future "Internet Plus agriculture" do business opportunities still exist? Let's take a look together.
How do you use the Didi-style "machinery" booking APP?
Its functions are very similar to the ride-hailing software "Didi Chuxing." As long as you enter your own wheat field's harvesting needs, quotation, and requirements into your phone. Afterward, machinery operators will grab the order, and negotiate specific matters such as harvesting time through phone calls. For growers, this software has two major advantages:
1. Timely rush harvestingThis year, Shandong's wheat sown area reached 56 million mu, and so much wheat must all be harvested and stored within half a month, during which they also have to face complex and changeable weather factors. To rush-harvest the grain in the wheat fields in time, communication between machinery operators and large grain growers is especially important.
2. Contact agricultural machinery without leaving homePreviously, during the summer grain harvest, farmers mostly looked for machines randomly, which could lead to delayed harvesting and waste a lot of time. This year, through mobile phones, farmers can contact machinery operators without leaving home.
The real-time big data displayed on "Zuoye Bao" also clearly shows information such as the harvested area in various places and harvesting prices, and further guides the orderly flow of machinery operators.
Through information statistics, machinery operators can also know their own daily work efficiency. For example, if others harvest 19 mu in one hour while I harvest 15 mu, the machinery operator can reflect on whether they traveled too much during the harvesting process, or whether they chose the wrong harvesting point.
At present, more than 120,000 planting households and about 50,000 machinery operators have registered on the platform. Since the platform launched on April 5, as of now it has found operating machinery for the harvesting of more than 2.37 million mu of wheat.
This year's summer harvest, the "Zuoye Bao" that appeared in Shandong, will have a great impact on the autumn harvest a few months later, and even on future national agricultural production and agricultural machinery services.
