Haining successfully establishes an artificial cultivation base for Sanghuang mushroom

On February 18, Wu Haiping, a researcher and deputy director of the Agricultural Technology Extension Center of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Agriculture, researcher Zhou Jinqian, Ji Dongfeng, a PhD and director of the Provincial Sericulture Research Institute, and researcher Lu Zhiqiang and their delegation visited the Sanghuang mushroom artificial cultivation base in Hongxin Village, Yuanhua Town, our city, to provide guidance. The base is a high-efficiency ecological circular project carried out through cooperation between the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences and our city, with the Provincial Sericulture Research Institute providing Sanghuang mushroom spawn and artificial cultivation technology, and Haining Hongxin Agricultural Biotechnology Co., Ltd. using the area's abundant mulberry branch resources to carry out large-scale cultivation. Two experts from the Provincial Sericulture Research Institute are permanently stationed in Haining to carry out key technical operations and on-site guidance. At present, 180,000 sticks have been inoculated, the Sanghuang mushroom sticks are developing well, and they have been moved into greenhouses in batches for cultivation.

Wu Haiping pointed out that Haining's successful establishment of the Sanghuang mushroom artificial cultivation base is the result of close cooperation among agricultural enterprises, the academy and the city, as well as agricultural transformation and upgrading and in-depth development of comprehensive sericulture utilization. The next step is to actively open up markets and realize the conversion of benefits. Ji Dongfeng emphasized that the Provincial Sericulture Research Institute will continue to provide technical services, increase Sanghuang mushroom yields, ensure product quality, assist with market connections, and promote the development of the Sanghuang mushroom industry and its marketization process.
In response to the current shrinkage of our city's sericulture industry, Wu Haiping believes that Haining's sericulture, as a historical classic industry, has a profound cultural heritage and once held a relatively high economic status, and has the responsibility to carry out inheritance and protection work well. Wu Haiping, Ji Dongfeng and their delegation also conducted an on-site inspection of the agricultural-photovoltaic complementary edible fungus demonstration base in Changxiao Village.
