Man Finds Something Strange While Logging in the Woods, and Only When He Gets Close Does He Realize What It Is

A man abroad was cutting down trees in the woods. One day, as usual, the man kept on logging. Around noon, the man leaned against a tree to take a rest, have a drink of water and eat something. When he crouched down and looked into the distance, he saw something strange inside a tree. Curious, he stood up and walked toward that tree. When the man reached the tree and saw the thing, he thought it had formed naturally from the tree itself.

Just as he was about to get closer, the creature opened its eyes wide, scaring the man so badly he nearly fell over.

Only then did the man realize that this was actually a living animal, and after looking carefully he could make out that it was an owl. He found the owl's camouflage skills even more incredible.

The owl seemed to be sleeping, stocking up on rest so it could do some serious hunting at night. Its whole body seemed to blend perfectly with the tree, making it very hard for anyone to spot. We have seen snakes, spiders, chameleons and others that are good at camouflage, but we never expected owls to have this ability too.

The man threw a pebble at the owl. At first it did not fly away, so the man gave a shout, and the owl immediately flew off in fright. When the owl flew away, what amazed the man was that there were still three tiny young owlets in the nest. He went over and touched the three little ones with his hand, then left.

That evening, back home, the man looked it up online and found that this owl was something special. It is extremely good at camouflage and is a master of it in nature. Under normal circumstances it is very hard for humans and other animals to spot, which protects it well.
