Warning: After today's heavy rain, a large batch of nocturnal monsters may be about to invade rural Baoji!

The heavy rain of the past few days has nourishedBaoji's land, but after such a long drought, the standing water quickly receded. Do you guys know what to do next??

By the way, could the cicada below be coming out?

As usual, it should be

time to hunt cicada nymphs! After this rain, the cicada nymphs should officially make their appearance!

This isBaoji's mythical beast, commonly known inBaojias the cicada nymph. Every year from mid-to-late June (around the summer solstice) to early August (around the start of autumn) they appear. They can evolve, and after evolving they possess the special skill of flight, are loud, have low attack power, and high nutritional value. Their appeal is enormous. They can reach around one yuan each at most, or 5 mao each in large quantities. They can be pan-fried or deep-fried, and are especially crispy and delicious!

Friends who know about this, no matter where you are, please remember, it's time to hunt cicada nymphs back home!

In Baojiit's once again the time when flashlight beams dance wildly through the woods at night. Many villagers choose to go into the woods after dinner to shine their lights for cicada nymphs. It's a way to exercise and get a plate of delicious food at the same time, truly the best of both worlds!

Here inBaojithere are quite a lot in the rural woods. These places are all great spots for hunting cicada nymphs. When you're lucky, you can find dozens on a single tree. If you don't believe it, just look at the tape on the trees.

InBaoji's countryside, hunting cicada nymphs is just too easy. Just charge your flashlight the night before and you're set. Behind the village, along the ditch banks, along the riverbanks, in the woods, they're everywhere. As long as your flashlight is bright enough, you run fast enough, and your bamboo pole is long enough, catching a hundred or so in one night is no problem.

Now look at this guy below! Clearly not imposing enough! With a sneaky posture like that, can you even catch any cicada nymphs?

A cicada nymph that just came out of its hole! Isn't that kind of scary?

Here's an even closer one, currently molting, almost done! Actually, the cicada at this stage tastes even better! It won't prick your mouth!

When I was little, some of the cicada nymphs we caught were taken home to eat, and some were sold that same night to buyers.

Check out the results of one night's work. Not bad, right! Haha!

Outsiders might ask, how do you eat these? Just ask any Baoji local and they'll all know how to eat them!
