(Photos as proof) Fruits and vegetables grown in rural areas without pesticides - do you dare to eat them

Every rural household has a vegetable garden. Growing your own vegetables saves money on buying them, and eating your own produce is truly satisfying. Now that people's living standards have improved, they demand green, environmentally friendly food. People often complain that vegetables no longer taste the way they used to, because of too much pesticide residue and excessive use of chemical fertilizers. Some detergent manufacturers and so-called experts, just to grab attention, join in the scaremongering, without stopping to think: could farmers get any harvest at all without a single bit of pesticide?

The vegetables that rural people grow for themselves are also treated with pesticides. Without any pesticides at all, how much would the yield drop? Such vegetables couldn't even be sold - they'd all be eaten up by bugs. Leafy greens are a bug's favorite; there can even be several bugs on a single plant. A small plot is manageable, but for vegetable farmers it's just not realistic - you can't catch them all no matter how many you pick every day.

Rural people sell the good, marketable fruit, and keep the inferior ones for themselves to eat. An eggplant with a few bug holes like this would definitely have no buyers, so they can only eat it themselves. People's pursuit of green food is right, but at this stage it's truly unrealistic. Rural people don't want to use pesticides either - pesticides are no small expense.

To rural people, it's a joke when some merchants claim that leafy vegetables with bug holes are green vegetables. Vegetables with bug holes aren't necessarily pesticide-free. Vegetables treated with pesticides aren't necessarily non-environmentally friendly. When melons and fruits are about to ripen, pesticides definitely won't be used anymore. Using pesticides within the permitted range and not in excess is fine. Of course, there are also some heartless people who disregard others' safety for the sake of yield, and these people will surely get the punishment they deserve.

Rural people all know that fruit that has been eaten by bugs tastes the best, but nobody likes to eat it. Once fruit has been bitten by bugs, it easily rots, and when you bite into a half a bug while eating fruit, it's utterly devastating inside. No matter how environmentally friendly or green it is, it would probably still make you sick to death.

Rural people toil away, facing the yellow earth with their backs to the sky, yet they don't get the rewards they deserve. All kinds of internet rumors keep spreading. These fake experts, fake scholars, fake professors who never do any physical labor and can't tell the five grains apart don't even know how to farm. They say a cracked watermelon means growth enhancers were injected, or that sweet fruit means cyclamate was added. They eat the grain and vegetables grown by rural people every day, yet for their own selfish interests they've caused farmers so much loss. You don't see the fruit rotting in the fields, you don't see the vegetables thrown away because they couldn't be sold.

Rural people would all like to use pesticides - and would also like to use low-pollution, pollution-free fertilizers. Perhaps in the not-too-distant future this could become reality. Everyone could then eat safe, pollution-free vegetables, and rural people's interests could also be protected.
