Greenhouse vegetable farming fulfills the brothers' dream of returning home to start a business

After years of working hard in Zhejiang, the two brothers Li Guangxue and Li Ya from Zaxingzhuang, Lidatang Village, Xiaoxinji Township, Mengcheng County, resolutely returned to their hometown and invested more than 500,000 yuan to grow greenhouse vegetables, earning substantial profits. In the first phase, they transferred nearly 50 mu of land and built 50 vegetable greenhouses. The varieties include long beans, peppers, scallions, celery and more than 10 others. By rough calculation, the annual net income per mu of greenhouse vegetables is more than 8,000 yuan.

The two brothers, having become prosperous, did not forget their neighbors. They took the initiative to pass on their knowledge and experience to farmers in the village, guiding them to grow vegetables in front of and behind their houses. At the same time, they also employed 12 impoverished residents of the village to work year-round in the vegetable greenhouses, with an average monthly income of more than 1,800 yuan. Next, the brothers Li Guangxue plan to transfer another 50 mu of land in the second phase and build 50 new temperature-controlled greenhouses, providing more jobs for the local left-behind residents.
