College student in Gao County farms with the help of the Internet, achieving benefits of 20,000 yuan per mu

Picking grapes
Recently, at a farm in Chen Village, Luochang Town, Gao County, Yibin, the author saw clusters of grapes hanging on the vines - pink, green, black, yellow... Grapes of various colors interwoven together, as dazzling as colorful agate, with all kinds of aromas wafting toward the visitor, and an endless stream of tourists weaving through the vineyard picking grapes. Tourist Deng Fei said: "Picking grapes yourself in the field is tasty, fresh and fun."
Dai Linjia is a student at Sichuan Agricultural University. After graduating from university in 2009, he resolutely turned down a high-paying job offer from a large enterprise and returned to Santai Village, Luochang Town, where he used the professional knowledge he had learned at university, through soil analysis and innovative agricultural techniques, to set up a farm, growing fruits and vegetables in all four seasons and also opening a rural guesthouse. The farm adheres to the development concept of "Internet + eco-sightseeing experiential ecological agriculture" and the O2O e-commerce model of "online promotion, offline experience, online orders, offline delivery." Every year the farm is packed with tourists, and the agricultural products are in short supply. Yesterday, Dai Linjia told the author that he will continue to expand the scale of the farm. Starting from buying 800 grape seedlings, he built a two-mu vineyard, and he guides the surrounding villagers to grow fruit together, leading everyone to prosperity.
When a college student farms the land, the surrounding neighbors cast doubtful and mocking glances, and his family strongly opposed it, but Dai Linjia's determination did not waver. He often labored in the fields under the blazing sun, his arms going from red to black and then peeling; to save time, both breakfast and lunch were brought to him in the field by his family.
By this year, Dai Linjia had expanded the farm to 20 mu, with more than thirty grape varieties, including strawberry, rose, jasmine, peach, lychee, honey and many other flavors, five strawberry varieties, three high-quality peach varieties, and two watermelon varieties, with benefits of more than 20,000 yuan per mu, greatly exceeding the returns of traditional planting.
"With the improvement of living standards, people pay more and more attention to the quality of food. To grow fruit that customers find pleasing to the eye and reassuring to eat, we must rely on science and technology," Dai Linjia told reporters. He fully applied the knowledge he learned at the agricultural university to practice, and through soil sampling and testing, field trials and other soil-testing formula techniques, he developed a set of fertilization techniques suited to his own orchard; and through the condition of the various organs of the grape during growth, he adjusts the fertilization structure.
In order to make the fruit meet health standards, he insists on not using sweeteners, ripening agents or other chemicals harmful to the human body, so that the fruit is pollution-free. Tourist Li Bo said: "The fruit grown by young Dai is good in quality and reassuring, and we are willing to travel a long way to buy it."
Once the fruit is grown, sales become the primary issue. On this point, Dai Linjia has his own clever approach. He told the author that the market is not short of fruit but short of good fruit; the market for good fruit is large, but only by taking the branding route will it be recognized. Over the past few years, while insisting on quality, through online promotion, offline experience, tasting and comparison and other marketing methods, and through orchard picking, online orders, offline delivery and other sales methods, he has made the golden signboard of Chen Village Happy Farm deeply rooted in people's hearts. All fruit does not enter the wholesale market, and only follows the self-picking and gift-box route, ensuring that the "reassuring fruit" consumers buy is genuine and worth the money.
