Grapevines are growing well, and a ten-thousand-mu vineyard in northern Xinjiang is full of vitality
On July 7, in the field of Ma Guocang, a fruit grower of the Second Horticulture Company, the 81st Regiment of the Fifth Division of the **Production and Construction Corps, he was pruning grape branches and leaves and thinning out fruit clusters to facilitate ventilation and light penetration and even coloring.
In order to improve the quality of the grapes, achieve uniform ripening, and produce high-quality commercial fruit, the regiment's fruit growers are removing old leaves from the grapes, thinning out fruit clusters, preventing and controlling pests and diseases, and strengthening management techniques during the grape coloring stage, making preparations for the grapes to be marketed early.
It is understood that the regiment has developed a total of 16,000 mu of the grape industry, with the main varieties being Summer Black table grapes, Flame Seedless grapes, and Red Globe grapes. The fruit-bearing area reaches 16,000 mu, with an annual production of more than 22,000 tons of high-quality grapes. More than 10,000 mu of Summer Black grapes have been promoted for planting, and the regiment has formed a relatively mature production and management model. At present, the regiment's grapes are growing well, with a bumper harvest in sight, and the grapes can be marketed and sold by the end of this month.
