Gansu Jinta: Small Grapes Brighten Up Good Days
In the height of summer, walking into the Daba Agricultural Industry Demonstration Park in Jinta County, one sees rows upon rows of solar greenhouses lined up in neat order, and the roads in the park are filled with transport vehicles that have come to purchase grapes. This bustling scene has lasted for nearly a week.
Wang Zhongying is a villager of Daba Village in Dongba Town. Last year he raised funds to build a greenhouse of one and a half mu, all planted with grapes. In his solar greenhouse, clusters of crystal-clear, bright red grapes already hang all over the branches. These past few days, he has come to the greenhouse early to pick the ripe grapes. "I expect this greenhouse of mine can produce two to three tons, with an income of at least 30,000 yuan," Wang Zhongying said, unable to hide his joy. What makes Wang Zhongying happiest is that he has no worry about selling his grapes; the professional cooperative handles everything for him. He only needs to pick the grapes, pack them in boxes and wait for weighing and payment, and the grapes will be transported to Jiuquan, Jiayuguan and other nearby cities.
At the beginning of the park's establishment, it adopted the "cooperative + base + farmers" planting model, providing growers with "three unifications" services: unified supply of seedlings and training before production, unified technical guidance and management during production, and unified sales and market expansion after production, which solved the worries of grape growers.
The good method of staggered sales has multiplied the value of the grapes. Up to now, the county has developed 1,600 mu of greenhouse grapes, with more than 20 main varieties including Manicure Finger, Red Globe, Red Earth, and Golden Finger. It is expected that more than 1,300 mu will bear fruit, with an annual output of about 2,000 tons and an estimated income of about 40 million yuan.
