Chongqing Allocates 34.65 Million Yuan to Subsidize Primary Processing Facilities
It was learned from the Chongqing Municipal Finance Bureau that the city has allocated 34.65 million yuan in special subsidy funds this year to support 14 project districts and counties, including Changshou, Jiangjin, Nanchuan and Dazu, in building primary processing facilities for agricultural products, with financial subsidies granted at different standards according to their storage capacity.
In the above 14 project districts and counties, the finance authorities implement a "build first, subsidize later" funding support policy for family farms, specialized cooperatives and farming households that build primary processing facilities for potatoes, sweet potatoes, vegetables, fruits and other crops at the place of production. The project districts and counties are selected on the basis of being advantageous production areas or old revolutionary base areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas and poverty-stricken areas. Promotion adheres to concentrated, contiguous construction and overall advancement. Each project district or county should select 6 townships for implementation; the builders contribute funds and labor on a voluntary and self-initiated basis, the government does not take over and do everything itself, and the facilities are built and put into use in the same year.
Regarding subsidy standards, the finance authorities will grant subsidies at different standards based on the storage capacity of potato storage cellars, fruit and vegetable fresh-keeping warehouses and fruit and vegetable drying facilities, after passing full-process acceptance inspection and public announcement. For example, building a 20-ton storage cellar entitles the builder to a minimum subsidy of 10,000 yuan; building a 500-ton assembled cold storage warehouse can bring a maximum subsidy of 340,000 yuan.
