Construction begins on the edible mushroom industrial park in Zibo, Shandong

Recently, construction began on the "Financial Poverty Alleviation Edible Mushroom Industrial Park" in Taiping Village, High-tech Zone, Zibo City, Shandong Province.

This project is an innovative financial poverty alleviation model by the High-tech Zone, funded and built by Zibo Junyu Edible Mushroom Technology Co., Ltd. For every 10 greenhouses built, the company is granted a loan interest subsidy of 1 million yuan at the benchmark interest rate. Poor households do not have to pay a single cent, and are guaranteed an annual income of 11,000 yuan, achieving a win-win for the government, the enterprise and poor households.

It is understood that edible mushroom production is a high-quality project for local farmers to escape poverty and become wealthy. Through precise identification, Taiping Village currently has 15 poor households. With only 2 mu of land, 15 mushroom greenhouses can be built in a contiguous area. Some families can handle production inside the greenhouses, while others can take part in auxiliary work within their capacity, and marginal poor households in the village can also be brought in to participate. It is reported that these 15 mushroom greenhouses will be completed and put into use in August, and the first batch of edible mushrooms will hit the market in September.
