Couple in Li County, Longnan, works together on e-commerce to get rich and build a moderately prosperous life
In Jiedi Village, Yongxing Town, Li County, there is a couple famous far and wide for doing e-commerce: the husband Zhang Zhe, whom relatives and friends also call Zhang Changwei, and the wife Liu Na, known as "the girl dancing on the keyboard."
Zhang Zhe, born in 1986, started working away from home after graduating from high school. In 2011, with his sister's help, he began selling Taobao beauty products in Shenzhen. In 2014, Li County fully launched e-commerce development, but there was a severe shortage of talent, so Zhang Zhe, who had e-commerce experience, was invited back to his hometown by the Li County E-commerce Center. "I was very happy to come back at the time. Thinking that the apples and perilla oil from my hometown would finally take the e-commerce road and go beyond Li County, I was very much looking forward to returning home to build a career," Zhang Zhe said. So he took the initiative to contact the county e-commerce center and, using his professional experience, provided free training to 230 person-times of "two-hous" graduates and young people in society across the county, helped open 30 online stores, gave the county's e-commerce talent a solid foundation, and provided strong help for expanding the e-commerce workforce.
That same year, Zhang Zhe and his wife Liu Na registered their own company, "Li County Nongpin Hui," and together sold apples and perilla seed oil online.
Today, Zhang Zhe and Liu Na's online store is doing better and better, and many people around them who do e-commerce come to ask them for advice. In the eyes of their neighbors, they are not only capable but also happy to help others. "The couple has long helped us buy good-quality, low-price daily necessities online, top up phone credit, transfer money through the bank, and book plane and train tickets," said Sister Zhao from the same village.
"Money can be given up; honesty can never be lost." This is Zhang Zhe's basic principle for doing e-commerce over the past 6 years, and also the creed he holds to in life. Every year after local apples hit the market, when big vendors drive down apple prices, he buys more than 70 tons of apples from fruit growers in his village at an average of 0.5 yuan per jin above the market price, increasing fruit growers' income by more than 70,000 yuan. At the same time, in various places within the county, he buys more than 10 tons of perilla seeds and flax seeds above market price to process edible oil, which not only drives up farmers' income but also increases farmers' enthusiasm for growing perilla and flax seeds.
Up to now, the online store run by the couple has reached 17,744 online transactions for the year, worth 630,000 yuan, and the products are sold far away to Beijing, Shanghai, Hainan, Heilongjiang, Qinghai, ** and other places. In order to better serve farmers, Zhang Zhe registered and established Nongpin Hui E-commerce Co., Ltd. in 2014, created a rural e-commerce convenience service station, and began construction of his own edible oil processing plant, registered a trademark, and passed QS certification, increasing farmers' income, providing safe and high-quality supply for the online store, and also setting a typical example for rural young people in the county starting e-commerce businesses.
Zhang Zhe said that next he plans to open community experience stores at the entrance of each residential compound and sell goods by scanning QR codes, striving to continuously expand the scale of operations. Liu Na said she also wants to encourage some families that are also planning to open online stores, especially women, to do e-commerce together, hoping everyone can get rich together and build a moderately prosperous life.
